Events: |
One-design class sailboats, 20 feet or less, except cruisers, may be entered. Classes common at other State Games have included Laser, Sunfish, Hobie, Thistle, Windmill, Mutineer and many others. Five or more boats of the same design will sail as a class. All other boats will sail under Portsmouth handicap as an open class. Adult and Youth (17 and under) will sail as separate divisions if there are sufficient numbers (5 or more of each division). Medals will be awarded to the top three in each class/division, skipper and crew.

Registration: |
Limited to the first 50 registrations received – so early pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Pre-registration: $25 per boat, must be received by July 12. Late and on-site registrations: $30 per boat -- suggest you call or e-mail to make sure there is room. Entries for skipper and all crew must be submitted together indicating boat class and age division. Registration fee includes T-shirts for skipper and crew.

Rules: |
· Races will be conducted in accordance with the U.S. Sailing 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing. · Any protests will be resolved following the last race. · Boats must have all legally required safety equipment on board. · All rules for the specific boat class must be observed. · One race constitutes a regatta.
